WCDI looking for 100-year-old Winneshiek County businesses

The names of businesses that have been in operation in Winneshiek County for 100 years or more are being sought for an annual awards presentation by Winneshiek County Development, Inc.

The awards ceremony, held in conjunction with the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau and Luther College will be held at 12:)0 noon on Monday, January 28th, 2013, in Peace Dining Room on the Luther campus.

Previous 100-year award winners are Winneshiek Mutual Insurance, Decorah Furniture, Citizens Savings Bank-Spillville/Fort Atkinson, Sattre Store, Bank of the West, Miller's Viewlawn Angus, Security State Bank-Ossian, Huber's Store, Chekal Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson Nursery, The Fred Carlson Company, Norwegian Mutual Insurance, Calmar Manufacturing, Becker Hardware, Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum, Decorah Greenhouse, Luther College and Anundsen Publishing.
