November was warm and dry in Decorah

Decorah weather observer Richard Bernatz says November temperatures were 4.2 degrees warmer than average in Decorah.

In his latest monthly weather summary, Bernatz says Decorah had an average temperature of 39.2 degrees in November--compared with the average of 35.0 degrees.

Four record temperatures were recorded, including a 73 degree high on November 10th.

Compared with 118 years of previous weather data, November of 2012 was warmer than 98 Novembers and cooler than 19 Novembers.

Decorah recorded only 1.27 inches of rain in November--0.54 inches of precipitation less than normal.
