The City of Decorah's Streets Committee and its Betterment Committee continue to discuss bicycle parking in downtown Decorah.
Street Committee chair Gary Rustad says a number of options are being discussed, including closing a parking space in three different downtown locations on Water Street for bike parking and using space in the North Alley parking lot. Rustad says the downtown Self-Supporting Municipal Improvement District Board has pledged some funds for purchasing additional bike racks.
The Street Committee will meet at 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 10th to continue its discussion. Rustad says bicyclists are invited to attend the meeting.
