After spending Tuesday and Wednesday visiting the Decorah School District, staffers from the State Department of Education will be making a site visit to North Winneshiek on Thursday and Friday. The staffers will meet with members of the North Winneshiek School Board at 5:00 p.m. Thursday as part of that visit.
School improvement site visits are made to assess a school district's progress with the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan; to make recommendations about improving educational practices; to determine that a school or school district is in compliance with the accreditation standards; and to provide a general assessment of educational practices
