Mediacom has announced that Decorah area customers will see a phase-out of analog television reception andf a switchover to digital reception on channels 23-79 on Tuesday.
The use of a digital adapter will enable customers with older televisions to continue to receive programming after the conversion to digital-only signal reception. The channels will retain their current numerical locations.
Newer televisions manufactured since 2007 come with built-in digital tuners that can receive digital signals. Digital televisions do not need Mediacom's adapter, just a cable connection to the TV.
Customers can acquire digital adapters by visiting Mediacom's office in Decorah or by ordering digital adapters by phone or online at www.MediacomCable.com/GetDigital
