


Decorah Police officers on Friday evening conducted a search warrant at a room at the Bluffs Inn and discovered an active methamphetamine lab.
Police arrested 24-year-old Maegan Bakken of Decorah and 48-year-old Jon Olson of Decorah. Four criminal charges were filed against both Bakken and Olson: Manufacture of Methamphetamine (a class C felony); Possession of Drug Precursor Lithium with Intent to Manufacture (Class D Felony); Possession of Drug Precursor Ephedrine With Intent to Manufacture (Class D felony); and Possession of Drug Precursor Anhydrous Ammonia with Intent to Manufacture (Class D felony).
Decorah Police were assisted by the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, Decorah Fire Department, Winneshiek Medical Center, Winneshiek County Attorney's Office and Iowa State Patrol.
