On Monday night the Decorah Community School Board approved a $68,472 bid for a new phone system that will service the entire district. The new system, Voice Over Internet Phone System (VOIP), that was approved will be for all the school buildings beyond the high school. The high school already has the new system that was part of its renovation. By tying all systems together and doing it now, staff say there will be significant savings, rather than waiting to replace outdated systems. A representative from CEC, the low bidder, was there to answer questions for the board.
