Dale e-mails Mr. Answer Person: "Has anyone thought about acquiring the old RC-10 building for a Trail head/Info center? I don't know who owns it, but wouldn't it be the most logical site with hotels there, the new bridge, etc?
Mr. Answer Person says: "A number of locations have been studied over the years for a trailhead/information center, including the former RC-10 building. All locations have their pluses and minuses.
The current push is to build a recreation center on Water Street that could be a combination of a trailhead Center and a community rec center. A consultant will visit with the Decorah Park-Rec Board on Thursday night to discuss steps that might be taken to start such a project."
