A new dress shop on Winnebago Street in Decorah will open in early July.
Owner Alexandra McGarrity says "Pure" will feature contemporary clothing for all women, in all sizes, from small to 5x. Nothing in the store will cost more than $100, she says.
McGarrity is the daughter of a runway model--and she says that background informed her tastes in clothing. "(All women) want to look good," she says, so she has spent time shopping small, private clothing manufacturers in the Los Angeles area to bring that city look to Decorah.
In addition to women's clothing, Pure will carry shoes, bags and accessories. Mc Garrity will also carry a line of organic skin care items--created by her mother.
Pure is scheduled to open on Friday, July 6th. McGarrity is planning a live, free concert on Winnebago Street by the Back Home Boys at 5:30 p.m. that day as a way of introducing her store to the community. The event will also include booths by Toppling Goliath and Winneshiek Wildberry Winery.
