2012 viewership of the Decorah bald eagle webcam dropped somewhat from last year's record-breaking pace of 200 million views in a matter of months, but Raptor Resource Project Director Bob Anderson is not overly concerned.
"The numbers are down a little bit, but we now have a lot of competitors," notes Anderson. Those competitors saw the popularity of the Decorah webcam and decided to try to mimic it. Anderson says he's not concerned about the viewership decline: "There were still tens of thousands if not millions of individuals who followed it."
