Luther teacher has been named a delegate to the National Republican Convention

Luther College part-time education instructor Andrea Bie Carstens has been selected by Iowa Republicans as one of the party's delegates to the Republican National Convention.

Bie, a 57-year-old Waterville resident, is seen as a Ron Paul supporter at the national convention.

Bie has been active in Republican Party politics in Northeast Iowa recently, donating to both the Winneshiek and Allamakee County Republican Parties.
