Missing 6-year-old boy is found

A missing six-year-old boy from Freeport was found at a nearby home on Monday.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department received a phone call around 3:30 MOnday afternoon notifying them of the missing boy.  The Sheriff's Department, the Iowa State Patrol, Decorah Police, Decorah Fire Department, Sheriff's Office K9 unit and a number of citizen volunteers started searching the area for the child.  The boy was found at 5:30 p.m. at a nearby home, playing with another small child.
