Paving on Short Street could start as early as Monday

Paving on Short Street in Decorah could start as soon as June 4th.

City of Decorah officials have decided to start the project paving on the east end--the block between MIll Street and Mechanic Street.

Because of the construction, traffic will be detoured along Sanford Street to Mill Street and back to Short Street.

City officials say the new schedule for construction will allow paving to begin, but will also allow utility crews to continue their work on the other end of Short Street, near Highway 9.
