The State of Iowa has opened bids on a project to repave four miles of Pole Line Road in Winneshiek County.
Mathy Construction submitted the low bid of $1.6 million dollars. Winneshiek County Engineer Lee Bjerke says work on the project will start as soon as the county receives a signed contract from Mathy.
Plans call for Pole Line Road to be repaved all the way from its intersection with County W-14 west to State Highway 9 at the Howard County Line. The first phase of the construction will involve work on some culverts along the road.
