Winneshiek Medical Center had another mediocre month financially in March.
The hospital had net patient service revenue of $3,499,660. After paying operating expenses, it was left with an operating loss of $62,731. Non-operating revenues were able to bring the net total back to a slight gain--$26,701.
For the nine months in the hospital's 2011-2012 fiscal year, it has registered a net operating loss of $120,520 and a total net gain of $384,264 after non-operating revenues were added in. That represents a total margin of just over one percent. The hospital had budgeted for a more than five percent total margin. It has missed that figure so far by over $1.5 million.
