World Book Night is celebrated in Decorah

As a part of the celebration of World Book Night U.S., Decorah volunteer Rhonda Thompson gave away free books Monday night at Wal-Mart.
Thompson handed out 20 free copies of The Poisonwood Bible in less than half an hour.
The event took place not just in Decorah on Monday, but in 6,000 communities throughout America. A total of 25,000 volunteers handed out half a million free books.
