Luther's Christy elected to three-year term on educational assessment board

Luther College director of assessment and institutional research Jon Christy has been elected to a three-year term on the board for Higher Education Data Sharing. 

The HEDS Consortium consists of more than 120 colleges and universities across the country.  It serves the needs of private higher education for institutional research, decision support, assessment and the advancement of liberal learning.  HEDS supports the member institutions in strategic planning and research through the collection and sharing of special studies and research reports, networking opportunities and professional development.

Christy has served as director of assessment and institutional research at Luther since 2003.  He previously held the same position at Loras College.  He received the bachelor of arts degree in management from Luther College and the doctoral degree in higher education administration from the Planning, Policy, and Leadership Studies program at the University of Iowa.
