A Luther College campus program called "I-ImpactNow" starting Tuesday will be holding a bra drive to support women in Mozambique, Africa who are exiting the sex-trafficking industry.
Luther students are collecting the bras, then sending them to Mozambique, where they will be given to women who can sell in order to make some money. The program provides the women with great income, a safe working environment, a flexible schedule, and a sustainable way of life.
Gently used (or new) bras can be donated by bringing them to the Luther College Mail Center in a plastic bag labeled "BRAught Back to Life." The collection will run through Friday.
Financial donations will be applied to shipping costs. Financial donations should be mailed to in an envelope labeled "BRAught Back to Life," SPO 270, Luther College, Decorah, IA 52101. Financial donations already will be accepted through Friday.
