If you think there's been a lot of construction in downtown Decorah in the last year, you're right.

The Downtown Decorah Betterment Association on Wednesday morning recognized those businesses downtown and on Decorah's West Side that have made major improvements during the last 12 months.  A total of 12 businesses were recognized: Discover Happy, Don Jose, Don's Sales & Service, Dragonfly Books, H & R Block, Haymarket, Java John's, Magpie, Shear Wonders, T-Bock's abd Toppling Goliath.

DDBA President Mike Harman told the group that downtown Decorah is an attractive place, thanks to the work of a lot of different people.
