Luther College names members of its presidential search committee

The makeup of the committee that will search for Luther College's next president has been finalized.

The 14 member committee will include Board of Regents members, faculty, staff and one Luther student.

Six Board of Regents members and the president of the Luther Alumni Council were previously appointed to the committee.  Now Board of Regents chairperson Paula Meyer has appointed the final seven members.  Faculty representatives will be Novian Whitsitt, Brad Chamberlain and Victoria Christman.  Staff members will be Jeanie Lovell, Steve Arneson and Karen Martin-Schramm.  Luther student Austen Smith--a member of the class of '13--will be the final member of the search committee.

Luther College President Richard Torgerson has announced he will retire at the end of the 2012-2013 school year.
