Road in front of Decorah City Hall might be changed

The traffic pattern in front of Decorah City Hall could be changing.  City Engineer Lindsay Erdman says he is looking at plans that would remove the island in front of City Hall.

There are two hurdles Erdman has to surmount before the work can be done.  The first involves water drainage along the property.  The second involves whether to retain the four or five parking spaces created by the island.
Erdman says if he can figure out solutions to those problems, the changes might be made at the same time the parking lot behind City Hall is repaved.
