Luther College to reduce number of chapel services

Luther College is making what it terms a "trial change" in its chapel schedule for the spring semester.

Daily chapel services had been a long-time tradition at the school.  However, in recent years chapel services have been held at 10:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The new schedule, starting in February, will have chapel services weekday chapel on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:30 a.m., with a few special services on Thursdays.

School officials say the change is not permanent but a "trial period."
