


The United Way of Winneshiek County is recognizing two important contributions to the organization.
Past president Maureen Yahr--an active member on the United Way Board for the past six years--on Monday was presented to Loretta Ian Award, which recognizes the contributions of an individual to the local United Way.
The Decorah plant of Rockwell-Collins received the Gordon Award, which is presented to a business or organization for its contributions to the local United Way. Rockwell employees increased their donations to United Way to $24,000 from $18,000 the year before.
