Decorah man ticketed following traffic accident

A one-vehicle accident on Locust Road Sunday afternoon has led to traffic charges against a Decorah man.

Police say 23-year-old Ian Yates of Decorah lost control of his car just before 3:00 p.m. Sunday.  It spun around, going into a ditch and hitting a tree, which caused $6,000 in damages.  Yates was ticketed for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
