Decorah Middle School Student Wins Essay Contest

Decorah MiddleSchool seventh grader Helen Johnson has been selected as a regional winner of the "If I Were Mayor Youth EssayContest".

Helen has received a plaqueand $300 in saving bonds. She will alsobe recognized in the magazine "Cityscape."

The Iowa League of Cities sponsored the essaycontest.
