Campaign filings show the Gingriches donated $30,000 to Luther College last year

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has released his tax returns.  The documents show he and his wife, Callista, paid $994,708, or about 31.7 percent, of their adjusted income in taxes.

According to the Washington Post, the Gingriches donated $81,133 to charities.  A large portion of that amount, $30,000, was given to Luther College, which is Callista's alma mater.
