Decorah Mayor Don Arendt has announced his "To Do List" for city government in 2012, featuring some new items and some items held over from last year.
Arendt says he wants the city to complete the recertification process for the levees along the Upper Iowa River, wants to extend sewer and water service to the Decorah Business Park and wants to support the community's Blue Zones application.
But there are new items on the mayor's list as well. Arendt wants the Park-Rec Board to begin work on building a new park in the Vennehjem addition. He also wants to meet with Winneshiek County supervisors to discuss jointly hiring a building inspector.
Other items mentioned by Arendt are enforcing the newly-redrawn comprehensive zoning plan; working on the new park land next to Pulpit Rock; updating the city's disaster plan; and continuing to work on the Metronet project.
