Decorah School Board approves renewal of whole-grade sharing agreement with North Winneshiek

The Decorah School Board has approved a five-year renewal of the whole grade sharing agreement with the North Winneshiek School District, under which North Winn students attend high school in Decorah. 

The contract extension will begin with the 2012-2013 School year and end with the 2016-2017 school year.  North Winneshiek will pay the general fund per pupil cost to Decorah at the rate of 82 percent for the entire five year period.  The balance of the cost per pupil will be used to pay for the North Winneshiek 9-12 transportation costs. 

The North Winneshiek School Board had earlier approved the contract, meaning the five year extension will now go into effect.
