One person injured in one vehicle accident on Middle Calmar Road

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies say a 25-year-old woman was injured in a traffic accident Friday night.

25-year-old Kelli Szabo of Ossian was a passenger in a truck driven by 23-year-old Amanda Thornton of Spillville.  Thornton lost control of her pickup while turning onto Skyline View Drive.  The truck went into a ditch.  Szabo was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by private vehicle.

Thornton faces several charges from the accident--failure to maintain control of a vehicle; failure to report a personal injury accident; and driving on a suspended license.
