Winneshiek Medical Center honors veterans

Winneshiek Medical Center volunteer Lyn Lysne was among those presenting gifts to veterans who had hospital appointments Friday

Winneshiek Medial Center honored patients who are veterans on Veteran's Day Friday by presenting each of them with a special gift. The veterans received a stadium cup, a reusable grocery bag, a pen and tablet, an American flag and a thank you card in recognition of their service to our country.

Those honored included World War II veteran Kermit Hendrickson,  Army veteran William Rude,  Korean War veteran Robert Rosendahl, Army veteran  Willard Holthaus, Navy veteran Kelly Lang and Vietnam veteran Jerry Brincks.
