High School renovation progressing well

Front office area work begins

The Decorah Community School Board toured the ongoing Thomas Roberts High School renovation project on Monday evening and later discussed the progress at their board meeting.  Among the highlights:

• The woodshop and district shop appear slightly ahead of schedule
• Footing and walls for the new gym and locker room areas are on track
• Footings are being completed for new office areas in front of the school
• The upgraded 2nd floor classrooms are operational and virtually completed
• The media center is expected to be completed by the end of the month
• Upstairs restrooms are expected to be completed by the end of the month (downstairs units have been  completed)
