Winneshiek Medical Center had an unexpectedly busy month in August, bringing in over $7 million in patient service revenue.
Chief Financial Office Lynn Luloff says even with adjustments for charity care and contract write-offs, the hospital ended August with almost $4 million in total operating revenue.
To top it off, operating expenses were less than budgeted, which meant the hospital had a net gain of $283,517 for the month--twice as much as budgeted.
