St. Benedict's School in Decorah is trying to be one of only five schools nationwide to win a grant from the Clorox Company.
The Clorox Company's "Power A Bright Future" grant program will award a $50,000 grand-prize grant and four $25,000 grants. The grants will be awarded on the basis of on-line voting results. From now through December 9th, adults and children 13 and older can visit www.PowerABrightFuture.com to vote once a day for the program they believe is most deserving of a grant.
St. Benedict's entry asks for fund to provide students with access to the newest and best technology available. "Through one-to-one iPad programming, the best iPad apps, quality professional development for staff, an up-to-date computer lab, iPods, a student response system, and capabilities to project from laptops in the classroom, St. Benedict School will be well on its way to providing a quality 21st Century classroom," says the application.
