decorahnews.com reader sounds off about bike riders

Dale e-mails us a photo he took of a bike rider using the sidewalks on Water Street the other day, along with a comment:

"(Here's) another example of bikes on the sidewalk in Decorah.  We really need to enforce or forget the laws.

30 minutes before this I saw a Luther student (she was on a yellow bicycle) riding on the sidewalk facing traffic.  When she got to the Mechanic Street/Water Street intersection she crossed right in front of a turning car which almost hit her!  Somebody HAS to educate these bike riders!!
Sign me "upset with law breakers"
