The 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11th was observed Sunday throughout Winneshiek County.
Churches rang their bells for one minute just before noon on Sunday. A more formal recognition of the anniversary took place at 4:00 p.m. in a service at First Lutheran Church.
In Frankville, the remembrance was simple--firefighters gear on display outside the Frankville Fire Station, in honor of the emergency responders who gave their lives in the aftermath of the attack.
