Decorah bald eagle chick now has flown over 150 miles from the nest

It turns out that the bald eagle chick named "D1" is a pretty good flyer.

The latest GPS transmission from the eaglet place it near Danby, Wisconsin--some 163 miles from Decorah.  The eaglet has headed largely in a northerly direction since leaving the nest in July.
