City council approves agreement with Chad Bird as City Manager

The City of Decorah officially has a new City Manager.

The Decorah City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to approve a contract for Adel City Administrator Chad Bird.  Bird will begin work as City Manager in Decorah in October.

He'll replace City Administrator Jerry Freund, who is retiring in September after 18 years on the job.
