Family members of Luther College student Nabby Baffour-Awuah say they believe his death was not an accident.
The family issued a statement Wednesday which criticized the investigation that ruled his death accidental due to hypothermia.
The family members believe Baffour-Awuah was chased and assaulted before his death on the Luther campus. They point to the tape of the 9-1-1 call in which Baffour-Awuah warned "he's going to kill me."
Decorah police announced in February that Baffour-Awuah died of hypothermia in freezing temperatures after he was locked out of his dormitory following a night of drinking at an off-campus party. His family calls the ruling "an insult to the known facts, the memory of Nabby, and to this family."
