100 cattle die because of the heat in northern Winneshiek County

KWWL-TV News is reporting that around 100 cattle have died from the heat at a farm along the Minnesota border in Winneshiek County.

The television station says two Minnesota fire departments were called in to help cool the cattle and were able to save most but not all of the livestock.

The location of the farm was not disclosed.
