Waukon man ticketed for reckless driving after accident

19-year-old Garrett Cooper of Waukon lost control of his car on a curve on Old Stage Road on Tuesday night, according to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department.

Police say Cooper's car entered a ditch and landed in a corn field, where Cooper allegedly drove around attempting to leave, causing significant damage to the crops.  Sheriff's deputies ticketed Cooper for failure to maintain control of his vehicle and for reckless driving.
