Decorah's 322nd Engineer Company is supplying Kandahar Province, one combat outpost at a time

Members of the 322nd Engineer Company, which is based out of Decorah, are doing the work necessary to keep soldiers operating in Afghanistan.

For Sergeant Joshua Geno, a native of Wellman, Iowa, that recently meant using a chisel and hammer to chip concrete away from a dorrway.

Geno and other members of his unit were hard at work at Forward Operating Base Walton in Kandahar City in southern Afghanistan.

The 322nd Engineer Company has been assigned to Afghanistan to expand and improve security, services and troop facilities on FOB Walton.
