Water Street Park fundraiser brings in $1,219

Construction of Water Street Park, Decorah's newest park, got a boost on Thursday evening.

An informational Open House was held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. across the street from the park.  Donations were also accepted.  Downtown Decorah Betterment Association representatives say donations at the Open House, along with donations collected from Oneota Co-op customers, totaled $1,219.68.  The money will be used to help pay construction costs.
