ArtHaus on Friday will host a concert by the Minneapolis-based duo, The Ericksons, as part of its "Baker London Presents" concert series

Originally from the LaCrosse area, Bethany and Jenny Erickson performed in and around New York City for four years before returning to the Midwest in 2010.  The Ericksons recorded their first album "Middle of the Night," live in Brooklyn, NY in 2008 and their sophomore album, "don't be scared, don't be alarmed," at Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin.  "don't  be scared, don't be alarmed" offers original songs accompanied by a variety of sounds ranging from percussive electric bass to organ and piano, and as well as flawless vocal harmonies.

The Ericksons were named Womenfolk Find of the Month on KFAI Radio Without Boundaries, and have played in Minnesota Public Radio's Studio M, as well as Cities '97's Studio C.

ArtHaus is proud to host the "Baker London Presents" concert series, created to support and promote emerging artists and provide a venue for live music in Decorah. Founded in honor of Baker London's alter ego, Trevor Grimm, "Baker London Presents" aims to ensure his legacy will live on through this series of concerts at ArtHaus.

The concert will be held at the courtyard between the ArtHaus Studio and Vesterheim Museum at 8:00pm on Friday, June 17.  Tickets are $5 at the gate.  Guests are welcome to bring their own refreshments. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside ArtHaus (508 W. Water Street).  For more information, call 563.382.5440, email arthaus508@gmail.com, or visit www.arthausdecorah.org.
