Sheriff's Department warns about fraudulent checks

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department is passing along a warning from the Postville Police Department that a white male in his 50s, with balding salt & pepper hair and hazel eyes is passing fraudulent checks in the area.

The checks are drawn on an ABF Freight Inc. account and usually are for $50.

Sheriff's deputies are asking the public to contact police if they have information about this person.
