


A Luther College graduate won Tuesday on "Jeopardy!" Meyer told the St. Paul Pioneer Press, "I've always enjoyed watching 'Jeopardy!' I shout answers at the screen, and so I figured, 'What the heck? I might as well give it a shot."
Sam Meyer graduated from Luther College in Decorah with a double major in history and German. He will become a graduate student in Middle Eastern studies at New York University in the fall.
Meyer put his schooling to good use on Tuesday, winning on the popular TV game show "Jeopardy!"
Meyer held the lead after the first round, answered both Daily Double questions correctly and ended with a total of $24,945 in winnings.
