Relay for Life luminaria sponsorshops available

The 2011 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Winneshiek County on Saturday, June 11th at the Decorah High School track will include a Luminaria Ceremony honoring the Decorah community's cancer survivors and cancer victims.

Organizers of the event are reminding the public that Luminaria may be purchased for a $10 donation at the Relay for Life or by visiting www.relayforlife.org/winneshiekcountyyia.  The luminaria, which will bear the names of people who have battled cancer, will be lit as Relay for Life participants circle the track.

"Relay is a unique opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember those we've lost, and fight back against the disease," said Janice Meyer, co-chair of the Winneshiek County event.
