Decorah eaglecam will shut down "soon"

If you're one of the millions of people who watch Decorah's bald eagles on the Raptor Resource Project's "eaglecam," you'd better get in your last looks at the eagles for this year.

Raptor Resource Director Bob Anderson says he will soon be shutting down the cameras.  In addition he will be closing the eagle chat and suspending most Facebook wall posting, although Raptor Resource will continue to provide updates as they become available.

The eaglecam became the most popular streaming video website on the entire Internet during 2011.
