A decorahnews.com reader asks: "Isn't there a leash law or something like that in Decorah? I (as well as my dog, on a leash) have been attacked or actively pursued several times this spring and I am tired of having to alter my behavior because people can't take care of their dogs!"
Mr. Answer Person says: "Yes, there is such an ordinance in the Decorah City Code. 6.04.010 Running at large says, 'It is a misdemeanor to allow cattle, horses, swine, sheep, dogs, cats, or other similar or domestic animals or domestic fowl to run at large within the city'."
So here's a tip from Mr. Answer Person--make sure your dogs are under control! (and other animals, for that matter)
