The Iowa State Patrol says a Spillville man collided with a Canadian Pacific freight train on 295th Avenue on Wednesday.
17-year-old Jordan Blaess failed to see a westbound train in enough time to get stopped. Blaess' vehicle collided with the train, then rolled over and came to rest in a ditch. He was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by ambulance. No charges were filed in the accident.
