Call to artists for Emerging Artists' Exhibition at ArtHaus

ArtHaus in Decorah, IA seeks artists ages 18-23 to submit 2-D and 3-D artwork to the Emerging Artists' Exhibition. The exhibition runs from May 6-27th and is open to residents and students of the Driftless region of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and southwest Wisconsin. Deadline for submission is March 28.

Guidelines

Applicants to this juried show are requested to submit artworks completed within the last year. Each applicant may submit up to 3 artworks, and all media are welcome. Jurors will include area college professors, professional artists, and board members of Driftless Art Collective (D.ART Co.). Interested applicants must send digital images with an application form, brief artist statement, and entry fee of $20 by March 28th to ArtHaus 508 W. Water Street, Decorah, IA 52101. Artists will be notified by April 11th if their work has been selected.

Awards

Best of Show will receive a $200 cash prize and a solo exhibition at ArtHaus in 2011-2012. Runner-up will receive a $100 cash prize, and two Honorable Mention Awards will be given. The public is invited to an opening reception at ArtHaus on Friday, May 6th from 7-9pm.
